but you were the joy

A solo piece for one dancer, based on Moroccan music and Moroccan ‘vulgarity’.

The piece is based on Yaniv's personal experiences as a second generation of new comer Jews from

Morocco to Israel.

The title of the piece 'but you were the joy' is taken from the verse in the book ‘Devarim’ chapter TZ

eleventh verse: ”but you were the joy in your holidays”.
